James, cathy and ryan all invest almost entirely in real estate. James says he puts about 30% of his net worth into the stock market. Ryan: I do a little bit more diversification because i am passive- Passive Investing. But if you're going to buy an asset like property, make sure it pays for itself over time.

Does a stock market crash affect real estate? We’ve seen home prices hit record growth over the past two years, with a slight slowdown happening right now. But nothing in the real estate market compares to the stock market selloff that has happened over the past six months. Index funds are down over twenty percent year to date, tech companies are quickly losing valuation, and the stock market doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.
