Do They Take Advantage of the Political Geography of the Caribbean?
The caribbeian and parts of north america were really ideal for pirates to hang out. In the seventeenth century, there was a lot of fighting between the british and the spanish in terms of colonizing which islands. So pirates cannot always have the upper hand in this sort of situation. And through this, they were able to penetrate their own strongholds. They were able to become very organized, so that way they knew kind of which political parties were kind of fighting against each other, and they were ableto take advantage as a result.
