The Sons of God and the Nephilim
In Genesis 6, we have this group of individuals referred to as the sons of God who take wives from among the daughters of men. The term Nephilim is sometimes misidentified as a Hebrew word and people will say, okay, it means something like fallen ones. Problem is that interpretation of the word does not fit the rules of Hebrew grammar. This is an Aramaic word. In Aramaic, Nephilim means giants. And so the Nephilim, whatever their origin, were a people of unusual height.
