Why Are Young Women Changing Their Clothes?
People across the mediaeval world came up with their own explanations for what was to blame. Even in an immensely religious world, people struggled to make sense of the fact that god had allowed them to suffer this way. Blaming decadent fashion choices for a global pandemic might seem a bit strange to us to day, but as john told me, we can see it as part of a bigger pattern: people searching for meaning in an uncertain, terrifying world. They had enormous problems explaining why? It's just impossible to explain. That isn itself the scale of thedenant destruction.
