Mao Zedong and the Anti-Ritus Campaign
In 1956, Mao gives the whole let 100 flowers bloom and 100 schools a thought-contends speech. People were starting to talk but of course they're holding back from expressing their truest feelings. Joe had gone to Moscow shortly after cruise chev's secret speech made and basically said, what the hell man? He registered Mao's feelings about how easily Stalin had gotten thrown under the bus. In February 1957, Mao gave the official go-ahead for the 100 flowers campaign to roll out - that is something he lived to regret.
