Pentecostalism has absorbed a lot of elements from American evangelicalism, including reform stuff. And so you'll find Pentecostals who believe things that the original Pentecoster never would have believed in. The way we read the Bible is always going to be influenced by the context in which we're reading it. There's nothing intrinsically contradictory about holding to penal substitution being a Pentecostal.
