It doesn't take effort to drift. It happens naturally.
During a family beach trip, I realized how easy it is to drift without noticing. Standing in the ocean for just a short time, the current quietly carried us far down the shoreline from where we started.
Life works the same way.
You don't drift into something great. You don't drift into a strong marriage, a promotion, or high performance. But people drift into the opposite all the time.
Average. Complacency. Bad habits.
