Is There a White Future?
Around about 1900, you get a lot of people producing illustrations of what life's going to be like in the year 2000. The humans are all dressed in late 19th century, middle class fashion. So it's literally it's them in the future. And that's how I think the Victorians imagined the future. There was going to be a future that was technologically different and exciting than innovative in all sorts of ways but it was going to have people like them in it.
