What Is High Performing Anxiety?

High functioning anxiety is a form of anxiety that isn't on the DSM. It's not something you're going to get diagnosed with if you go visit a psychiatrist, but it is similar to generalizing anxiety in the symptoms you may get. The reason it's called high functioning anxiety is because how you cope with the anxiety symptoms is you push yourself even harder and faster. This results in people pleasing overachieving perfectionism. You have this constant push, push, push that's happening under the surface.
