The History of the NHS
There were pressure points on the NHS when it first came into being. There was a lot of debate about patients rushing forward to access dentistry, ophthalmic services and prescriptions which were all free at the start of the NHS's existence. Another way of thinking about this question is about the type of disease that the NHS was dealing with. This may similarly be impossibly broad but another question we've had is how has the philosophy or ideal of free health care for all changed since its foundation? Is it still relevant today and how do you think that's the case?
