Big Picture Thoughts on Large Language Models

Large language models have been impossible to ignore over the last couple months. Artificial intelligence is attracting a ton of VC money and mind share among computer science PhDs. Large language models are essentially conventional wisdom machines. They don't know anything other than what has already been documented in digitized human experience.
