How Did Your Passion for Science Come From?
In Italy, you have to choose what you want to study when you're just 14. And since I was decent, my parents said, okay, why don't you go and study science? So they really encouraged my interest in STEM, which I thought was quite progressive back in the days. When I was 17, the last year of high school, I actually had the opportunity to travel to the US and participate in a NASA program. That's really where my passion for science originated, because I was surrounded by scientists. And I really enjoyed talking with them about interesting ideas. And this is what made me go into the field.
