What's the Difference Between a Civil War and a State Oath?

I think it's very hard to think that the everyday folks wouldn't have suffered all the horrors of war. The everyday folks suffer in 20 first century wars. And i swearing an oath is literally staking your soul on what you say. A lot of this, people would go to church and they would hear a sermon preached on a biblical text but lots of inner insights,. would be drawn from that biblical text in terms of contemporary politics and things.
