Women in the Viking Sagas
How much do we actually hear about women taking part in that? We know from archaeological sources obviously that women were going all over the place with the men and then when it comes to the written sources there are rune stones referring to women traveling. There's a spindle world that was found in Lanzomero in Newfoundland so you know even if it wasn't the exact woman in the saga they might not have been called Grilleredr and Freides but it's very very likely that women went all the way to North America because they moved outwards.
