Anne moved back to Lancashire in the 18 by 1849 and lived the rest of her life there. Adam is described on the census as a gentleman who made his money in Singapore. They live a kind of genteel middle class respectability which takes them to various country houses, around Clithero. And then later in their life they moved to the coast. The last years of their life they rented a house called the Knoll - two miles north of Blackpool. Anne died in 1888 and then Anne died shortly afterwards in 1890.
