Lookahead: William Schmidt to start game three

LSU’s offense followed up a 15-run outburst Friday with a complete no-show Saturday at Alex Box Stadium. The Tigers managed just three hits all night and went 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position in a frustrating 5-4 loss to Sacramento State that evened the series.

In this episode, we recap how LSU let a strong pitching effort slip away. Cooper Moore gave the Tigers 4.2 solid innings and Ethan Plog delivered 2.2 hitless frames out of the bullpen, but one swing from Cameron Sewell—a grand slam in the eighth—proved to be the difference.
