The Pathanon: A History of Western Visitation

The pathanon was a temple from the fifth or sixth century onwards. For 900 years it was a church, incorporating some of the most renowned relics of ancient Christianity. Once it stopped being a church, it became a mosque. It has encapsulated what western culture has been about over two and a half thousand years.
