I think your method of refractive audience analysis seems like a promising way to understand how adaptations of media texts affect people's perceptions of the original. And also anything you could elaborate a bit more on that method and kind of what insights it can provide. Sure yeah I mean that's very specifically just about adaptations. But it struck me that what's when you ask someone or someone pontificates on why they dislike. You know the adaptation or the reboot or the sequel. It becomes this beautiful space where you can hear what the original meant to them.
