The Lived Experience of Women Lawyers
I'm a massive belief in innocence until proven guilty. A fair trial is everything. But you can't say that the courts are looking for justice if they're not actually looking for justice for victims of sexual assault as well. The law has been defined by generations and generations of a particular type of white, middle class, upper middle class male. And so the lived experience of women hasn't been incorporated into the design of what sexual salt is. It's more about the wrongly accused perpetrator. I think we've gone beyond that now. i think that this idea that someone is consenting unless they tell you they're not, doesn't actually fit with women's lived experience. Yo en jony
