A corrections officer at the saint louis county justice center was assaulted by a detainee there. Christina nietto was monitoring a group of male inmates when one charged at her and hit her repeatedly in the face and head with a closed fist. Saint louis county prosecuting attorney wesley bell filed charges against her assailant just days later. 19 year old cornell robinson now faces a charge of first degree assault. Another female officer was assaulted by an inmate just weeks before. She too suffered pretty severe injuries. Those two corrections officers are now both represented by saint louis attorney alad gross.
