The Iraq War Was Not a War on Terrorism
Iraq war was sold politically as part of a war on terrorism, even though none of the 911 hijackers were Iraqi. Secularism uses category of religion to racialize its others and mark them as backwards, primitive, violent, and uncivilized. The modern construction of race is the prime example of how mythos, not logos, created and continues to shape modernity.
