The French Revolution in 1848

The Republican Revolution of August the 10th 1792 stopped being framed as the moment things went from good to bad. The first republic started to be celebrated, not denounced. On January 1st, 1848, it had been just 58 and a half years since the fall of the Bastille. So think about it like this, this episode is going to publish in 2017. In this framework, Waterloo would have happened in 1984, just 33 years ago. For us, that means that the fall ofthe Bastille would have happen in 1958. Napoleon would have taken over in 1968 and his wars that swept Europe would have lasted into the 1980s.
