In a world where people are clueless about their own performance relative to anyone else, how are they going to interpret differences in salary? They will think, oh, my god, i should be paid one of the top guys in my organization. But everybody will think that we're all above averageo y. It feels to me like this is why we should be advocating for moderate pay transparency.
