Shannon's mom didn't even know she was missing yet. Dr. Hackett says he runs a house for wayward girls, and Shannon had been with him right before she went missing. He said he gave her a drug to calm her down and then she left with her driver but never returned. The investigation into her disappearance is barely anything. Whether it's because of the confusion and jurisdiction or the discrimination because of her profession, police didn't take it seriously.
