Introduction
Cervical milopathy is a common form of neurologic comparement caused by compression of the cervical spinal cord. The condition most commonly presents in older patients with symmetric numbness and tingling in the extremities, hand, clumsiness and gat am balance. Compression is usually caused by anterior degenerative changes such as osteophites or disc osteophite; complex degenerative spondil listhesis and hypertrophy of the ligament flavu may also contribute. Treatment is usually surgical decompression and stabilization, as the condition is associated with step wise progression.
