The First Day of Marriage

Rush greeted Meghan with a warm smile. Maybe it was the naval base, his uniform, his accent, or all of it swimming together. But she was pretty smitten. And then he showed me the helicopters. Like I actually got in a helicopter and now I'm mind you, I do not think this was what he was supposed to be doing. He could have gotten in a lot of trouble because of it. But I was just like so like taken back. We sat in front in the office until seven o'clock in the morning. That was our first day and we spent every single day together after that.
