Sinking Sands: Common Idols That Replace Christ

In Matthew 7, Jesus brings the Sermon on the Mount to a powerful close by confronting one of the most important questions a person can ask: How do you know if you’re saved? 

This message is a clear call to reject false assurance, religious performance and self-righteousness, and instead put your full trust in Jesus. Salvation is not built on what we do for God, but on what Christ has already done for us. This sermon invites us to stop building on the sinking sand of this world and stand firmly on the unshakable rock of the gospel.
