Tutan Kaman and the Middle Kingdom
Tutan kaman belongs to what we call the eighteenth dynasty of ancient egypt. He would have seen himself as being part of a long line of kings that stretch right through time. So it's a modern idea, but actually it fits very well with the history. The new kingdom is punctuated by ae able phases which are called middle and old kingdoms.
