The Importance of Telemetry in BI
Open telemetry is an open source project and an open standard for standardizing kind of telemetry data types or signals, as they call them. It's about producing a standard way for people to generate telemetry so everyone can actually focus on the making sense part of it,. Which is where like the value is really derived. As open telemetry's goals are to make the generation of telemetry kind of vendor neutral; have vendors compete in terms of the value they're delivering to you.
