What Is the Story of the Fall of Springfield?
Springfield is founded in the mid 16 thirties by this extraordinary man called william pinchon. He goes to new england, and he starts fur trading on the east coast. But he realizes that he needs to get to the source of where the beaver fur, beaver pelts are to be found,. So he re locates towards the connecticut valley. And so he's really in the kind of on the western frontier of new england. The community gradually grows, but not too fast because he doesn't want it to outstrip its resources.
