The First Black Member of the Auxiliary Fire Service in 1938

We've managed to find out that he was the first black member of the auxiliary fire service in 19 38. He joined the league of coloured peoples, and that's right. But also a well wor to fireman as well. So h just couldn't stay still. This constant foment of ideas and energy was on going with him. At one stage had 15 thousand members nationally, and he was awarded the british empire medal for it. That's actually depicted in a new gallery at the imperial war museum which wer very proud of.
