In your book you follow the stories of five different conscientious objectors. Can you give us an idea of the range of people that wanted an exemption from military service and there varied reasons for doing so? So I tried to choose five that represent a kind of a range but in truth it's very hard to make collective claims about who conscientious objectors were because by definition they were very individualistic, they were following their own conscience as they saw it.
