The fact that they can eliminate them so quickly must mean they have strong alibis. The FBI is going to not only help with the crime scene for looking for DNA evidence, but likewise they're going to be examining everybody's device and who maybe was sending them disturbing messages. But I also find stunning that I still haven't heard an explanation - it might be a quality one.
