God will honor what you give yourself over to, even if it's not him. No immoral, impure or greedy person is an idolater. It means being a worshipper of other gods. This is the root of everything else, the sin. Beneath the sin is actually idolatry. Everything else is like the tip of the iceberg. If you're not diligently looking, it will make you sink.
