Is Change Meaning Progress?

You say that we're in some ways more suspicious of change than ever before. The war on terra, climate change and the financial crash have been a large change. Populist movements are looking to a better past as a way of creating a better future. Now the past they are looking at is largely the result of a series of fantasies. A very different sort of government policy has enabled monopolistic capitalism to exert an excessive amount of control over government policies.
