This month we're highlighting indigenous women from around the globe. Edith anderson montor, who mostly went by edith, was born in 18 90 on the six nations reserve in oshweken near bramtford, Ontario. She was the first indigenous woman to gain the right to vote in a canadian election. At 27 years old, she travelled to france and began treating wounded soldiers. In 19 96, edith died just a few days before her sixth birthday.
