Yashomati Baffna was attacked by four men in her own home. The police filed a complaint but didn't link it to the Joshi murders or Prakash Hekte's disappearance. A week later, five members of one family were found dead with their hands tied together and balls of cloth stuffed in their mouth. This time money and jewelry was reportedly missing from inside the house.
