I don't really know if they're sentient I don't think anybody does and for that reason I would prefer that we find plant-based sources of food or perhaps cellular cultivation of meat. The problem with the United States is that the federal political system doesn't allow citizens to vote on these issues and it's corrupted by money. If you look at the states like California that are able to have citizen initiated referendums they vote in the way I want, he says.
