Intimate Bonds Through Images
In prisons, prisoners are allowed to take photos in their usually little poleroids. And those images become very central, not to the prisoner, but they can send them out to their loved one. That loved one then has this kind of physical art effect. As you said, that's just one of many, many, many different examples of where these visual images become evidence of, but also producers of, that yet intimate bond.
