The Cross Is a Symbol of the Atonement
The cross has not always been viewed as a negative symbol within our church. There's 11 different occasions after his resurrection in which jesus christ talks bout the crucer, either the crucifixion or gasemane. So i do think it's important and helpful for us thise latterday saints to know that jesus Christ himself repeatedly witnessed about the importance of his crucifixion.
