Drum Warfare - A History of Drones
They were controlled from other airplanes, because at that time you needed to maintain a line of sight connection between the aircraft. So ta, they would remotely operate aircraft from another aircraftn these were used during m the operations cross roads, atomic tests, and the drones were responsible for collecting air samples. They were also used to film and take record film, using photography and moving pictures of the atomic tests. There is this huge history of drones being used m that was not being discussed at that time. And i think my book is unique in the way in which it sort of really details how ideas of drum warfare have been imagined since the 19 thirties and 19 forties.
