Back here at home, Americans of all ages are sending prayers and well wishes to former president Jimmy Carter, who was in the final stages of his long unremarkable life. The Carter center announced over the weekend that the 98-year-old Democrat decided to spend his remaining time at home with his family in hospice care after a series of short hospital stays.
