The Importance of Ixtat on Adam Weishelpt
Adam Weishelpt's godfather was Ixtat, a professor at the University of Ingolstadt. He converted from Judaism to Protestantism and began attending Jesuit school when he was just seven years old. At this time, Bavaria was highly controlled by Catholic Jesuits who sought to stamp out Protestantism which Ixtat was part of.
