When did you not have to pay with a corporation to communicate with somebody at a distance? We don't live in that world anymore. There was a time when Twitter was like a place where things went and there was an open system for apps to talk to it. And maybe that world is better, but we should admit that we had a chance to build it a different way and chose not to.
