Trauma and Orthopedic Surgery
Simon first wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon after the 7-7 bombings in London. He was a medical student and saw people being brought in from all the tube stations. The same reason I got into surgery is because I saw someone with horrible abdominal pain. They found to have appendicitis the same day the patient feels better and goes home. It suits our ego and our attention span, right? Problem solved home.
