i could see a case for having incorporated some of that a little bit more, although woult have made the movie a little different. The most surprising thing that they left out, that disappointed me the most, was how they kind of overly humanized lady jessica. I do think they could haveo this is slightly changing the question, but the shut out mapes the housekeeper, which i always thought got too much attention in the book.
