The Civil Rights Movement and the Religious Right Movement of the Eighties

The church would have no problem protesting against something that they see is unjust or a problem with the way things are going. But they wouldn'tit some kind of secular party line oder to achieve justice. Would that be the big difference? Whereas in america, this happens on both sides of the isle. And i think one of the interesting points i read about and then included in my book was that if you compare the civil rights movement of the sixties with the religious right movement of the eighties up until now. The results are very different, because the the gains of the civil right movement are still with us and have permanently effected american society.
