Is Panpsychism a Really Bad Idea?
Over the last several decades certainly since you and I spoke a little more than 10 years ago there's been an increase in non-physicalist as we know physicalism today explanations of consciousness. People seek explanations which are as mysterious as the phenomenon itself they don't want to believe that it could be a reductive physicalist explanation because somehow that would just take the magic awayWould unwave the rainbow in a way which would be damaging and distressing to the people if they ever really believed it not I think not that anyone will ever believe in the physicalist basis of consciousness because it's too hard to take on board as a kind of emotional proposition.
