I love the idea of dollar cost averaging. It's actually something i do both in the stock market, still doing it now and I do it with real estate as well. So say you get paid from your job every two weeks on friday, you can set up an automatic purchase of a fund like v o o. You know, you're taking timing and the emotions completely out of it.

Does a stock market crash affect real estate? We’ve seen home prices hit record growth over the past two years, with a slight slowdown happening right now. But nothing in the real estate market compares to the stock market selloff that has happened over the past six months.
