The Differences Between Binance and Coinbase
Gensler has said in the past clearly that Bitcoin and Ethereum are not securities. But now that they have shifted to proof of stake, it weakens that position. The SEC's suit against both Binance and Coinbase did not name Etherum as a security. Some observers say this is because the SEC is too afraid to go after the big dogs. That's what's going to be resolved in the matter of SEC versusCoinbase.
